Rhodia Way

In 2004 Rhodia launched an initiative to drive improvement toward our internal and external stakeholders. Deployed throughout Rhodia since 2007, the Rhodia Way approach guides both our strategic orientations and our management practices. We consider that responsibility supports our performance, and Rhodia is constantly working to integrate CSR criteria in daily decisions. Our ambition is to achieve an optimal level of responsible practices towards our stakeholders. For each one we have defined commitments, objectives and paths to progress. These have been defined on the basis of international reference frameworks, best practices and benchmarks, and the reality in the field.
Customers
Rhodia works alongside its customers to design products and solutions with reduced impact on health and the environment. As part of the Rhodia Way, Rhodia’s approach to corporate social responsibility, Rhodia uses procedures that monitor its products throughout their life cycle.
Employees
By committing to being a responsible employer, Rhodia aims to keep employees safe, preserve their health, respect basic social rights and develop their employability. Rhodia's culture of safety and social dialogue is strongly anchored in its employment practices.
Environment
Conforming to the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, the SIMSER+ management system is based on a set of indicators that can be used to evaluate the potential impact of our activities on the environment, in order to manage and improve them.
Investors

Strict and vigilant governance protects shareholders’ interests. Using ethical principles and stringent internal control procedures, Rhodia manages its risks in a responsible manner, setting itself the primary objectives of enhancing protection of its employees, the environment, its customers and suppliers.
Suppliers
The founding principle of Rhodia's purchasing policy is establishing respectful and sustainable relations with suppliers. Throughout the world, evaluation and guidance tools help our partners satisfy Rhodia’s sustainable development criteria.
Local communities
In the context of the Rhodia Way, Rhodia sites and nearby residents have established positive relationships based on transparency, risk prevention processes and strict procedures to be followed should an industrial emergency occur.
