Rhodia Eco Services is the largest producer of sulfuric acid made from sulfur in North America. 

We serve our customers with a network of production facilities in the United States, which guarantee reliable supply and delivery. Our sulfuric acid production units are based in Hammond, IN; in Baton Rouge, LA; in Baytown and Houston, TX; and in Dominguez and Martinez, CA.

Sulfuric acid is the most widely used chemical in industry. Its many applications and end markets include unleaded gasoline, automobile batteries, paper bleaching, sugar bleaching, water treatment, sulfonation agents, cellulose fibers, fertilizers, steel manufacturing, coloring agents, amino acid intermediates and the regeneration of ion exchange resins.

Processes such as alkylation (refineries), sulfonation, chlorine gas drying or purification and the production of other acid-catalyzed chemicals, consume high quality sulfuric acid feedstock and generate spent acid. Regeneration of spent acid is the best solution enabling industrial companies to comply cost effectively with environmental regulation.
