Rhodia presents Rheological Agent Rheomer® 33 for creating Innovative textures in Personal Cleansing Applications at In-Cosmetics Barcelona 2012
News release
Barcelona (Spain) – April 17, 2012— Rhodia presents Rheomer®33, a rheology modifying polymer for personal cleansing solutions at In Cosmetics trade exhibition held at Barcelona from 17th to 19th April.
Rheomer® 33 was launched globally in the end of 2011 and has been well received since then. In technical terms, Rheomer® 33 is a new hydrophobically-modified alkali-swellable emulsion (HASE) polymer designed to provide efficient thickening, shear-thinning rheology and good suspension properties in low-to-medium surfactant systems. Formulators can use Rheomer® 33 to design innovative textures in cleansing formulations such as shower gels, shampoos, facial and body washes.
Rheomer® 33 exhibits excellent rheology in low surfactant levels. Due to this, even cost-effective formulations created using Rheomer® have premium appearance. Enhancing appearance, Rheomer® 33 facilitates the suspension of beads and particles while allowing the exhibition of ultra high clarity, high richness and good foaming properties in end applications.
Rheomer® 33 has shown exceptional conditioning properties in shampoo applications while modifying their rheology and improving their aesthetic appeal. In this regard, products such as 2-in-1 conditioning shampoos with innovative textures have been successfully created using Rheomer® 33.
Since its launch, Rhodia has continued enhancing the applications of Rheomer® 33. Inventive textures previously obtained in shampoo applications have also been achieved in body washes. Skin cleansing products created using Rheomer® 33 include body scrubs with exfoliating particles, sulfate-free mild facial washes and pearlescent body washes.
