Rhodia's new high-performance systems are specifically created to anticipate end-consumer demands for gentle products that help promote well-being and provide greater efficiency and convenience for formulators. We also supply intermediates and a range of selected active ingredients for the pharmaceutical industry.

Rhodia has strong ambitions to become the preferred provider of specialty cleansing and conditioning products for the personal care market. Rhodia’s expertise in formulation helps our customers design unique solutions that enhance the sensorial experiences perceived by end-consumers.
To satisfy consumer demands in the highly segmented shampoo and conditioner market, Rhodia has designed Polycare® Boost, a patented, next-generation conditioning solution for use in high performing shampoos and conditioners.
The product delivers perceivable consumer benefits including enhancing hair shine and suppleness and ensuring hair feels soft and light.
Rhodia has also developed Miracare® SLB, a patented, high-performance surfactant system for sensorial cleansing. For use in rinse-off formulations, the product offers multiple sensorial and performance benefits, such as moisturizing, energizing and rejuvenation.
Appearance is one of the key sensory attributes driving consumer perception of product quality and performance benefits in today’s personal care market; for this reason, Rhodia created Mirasheen® STAR to create aesthetic solutions. Mirasheen® STAR is the ideal pearlizing agent for rinse-off products that engages consumers with its unique pearlescent appearance by signaling high-quality performance benefits.
High-performance, cost-effective formulations where time-to-market is crucial
Rhodia's extensive R&D network and expertise allows us to develop easy-to-handle, easy-to-formulate, cost saving solutions that reduce processing time and complexity. This, in turn, reduces batch time, facilitates quality control and accelerates time to market.
Mirasheen® STAR, an innovative pearlizer, has limited impact on formulation viscosity, provides more freedom to formulate with additives and is suitable for a wide range of surfactant-based formulations.
Polycare® Boost combines a proprietary deposition polymer and a silicone oil into a single, liquid system that gives simplicity and flexibility in processing thanks to this 2-in-1 process.
Eco-friendly solutions from sustainable processes and natural ingredients
Rhodia employs sustainable chemistry principles to develop solutions that increase process efficiency and use renewable resources - for example, Miracare® Plaisant, a new plant-based surfactant system, offers an eco-friendly solution for mild and refreshing cleansing.
Our Jaguar® biopolymers are extracted from the guar plant and used for their rheological properties in hair and skin care. We seek to design high-concentrated products which work more efficiently while requiring less packaging and transport.
Oral care
Based on its technological expertise and operational excellence, Rhodia offers toothpaste formulations from our Tixosil® range, utilizing the highest quality of precipitated silica.
Superior polishing and cleaning performance
Rhodia guarantees the quality and safety of our products for use in oral care applications. Our expertise in manufacturing precipitated silicas enables us to precisely control the size and shape of the silica particles. These parameters directly impact upon the abrasive properties of the silica, a major concern for toothpaste manufacturers.
Thickening capabilities
Tixosil® silicas supplement organic thickeners, providing perfect texture and mouth-feel.
High compatibility
Unlike calcium-based polishing agents, Tixosil® silicas are compatible with all active ingredients and therapeutic agents such as sodium fluoride, a major toothpaste ingredient. They can also be used in transparent and colored gels.

Health
Rhodia provides the pharmaceutical industry with a range of intermediates using technologies in which we have recognized expertise, including specialty organophosphorus products, fluorinated compounds, diphenols and salicylics (salicylic acid and methyl salicylate).
We also offer a line of active ingredients derived from salicylic technology, such as Rhodine®, the most popular analgesic in the world, or the diphenol family with guaiacol, used in cough medicines.
Quality with limited environmental impact and cost effectiveness
Rhodia’s trifluoroacetic acid and triflic acid derivatives combine environmental sustainability and allow competitive integrated processes.
Our P4 RhodaPhos® phosphorus range includes phosphine ligands and specialty organophosphorus intermediates, which are often developed in partnership with our customers.
Home care
For the home care market, Rhodia's Repel®-O-Texlaundry solution excels in fiber protection and stain removal. The product can be post-added to existing or new formulations for domestic or industrial laundry powders and tablets. It facilitates soil-removing during the washing cycle and protects fibers to avoid soil adhesion.
For household cleaning, Rhodia has create the Miranol® and Mirataine® range of solutions, biodegradable surfactants, that not only have excellent cleaning properties but also a high purity and eco-friendly profile.
For household hard-surface cleaning, Mirapol® Surf-Spolymers are breakthrough additives that ensure quick, easy, effective and long-lasting cleaning.
