Surfactants

- Amphoteric Surfactants : True amphoteric surfactants contain dual functional groups in the same molecule which, depending on pH, allows them to exist in anionic, nonionic and cationic states. - Anionic Surfactants : Rhodia offers a wide range of anionic surfactants ranging from Alkyl and Alkyl Ethoxy Sulfates to Alkyl Aryl Sulfates, Alkyl Aryl Sulfonates and Alpha Olefin Sulfonates.

- Cationic Surfactants : Cationic surfactants fall into several different categories depending on the type of functionality associated with the product group. Some of them have functional group capable of being protonated and show cationic properties particularly in acidic media while the others, such as quaternary ammonium salts, exhibit a permanent positive charge.
